A video of a car on fire is circulating online and the authorities have assured members of the public that no one was injured in the blaze.

The incident took place today (29 Oct) around 7.30pm near a restaurant in Sembawang. The car was in flames as thick smoke rose up. A video clip shot by eyewitnesses show several people watching the scene unfold nearby and police cars present to provide support.

The Singapore Civil Defense Force has said that it used a water cannon and two compressed air foam backpacks to put out the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
